七ツ釜鍾乳洞
Naturally-formed cave in Saikai city stretching 1,600m+, with 320m accessible to tourists.
Nanatsugama Limestone Cave in Saikai city is the only limestone cave in Nagasaki Prefecture, stretching more than 1,600 meters with over 320 meters open to visitors. The cave system formed naturally over millions of years and is now designated a National Nature Treasure. A sightseeing cruise travels the accessible sections, while a separate walking path covers the upper plateau above the caves with views of the cave entrances and the ocean beyond. The name Nanatsugama, meaning 'seven pots,' refers to the cave mouths that open toward the sea. Both the cruise and the walking route offer distinct perspectives, and combining them gives a fuller sense of the site's scale.
