A 2020 children's library designed and donated by Tadao Ando, sitting at the eastern end of Nakanoshima park. The interior is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling book walls totaling 18,000 titles, with kid-height ladders on rails so children can pull from any shelf. Reservations are required and slots release one month ahead online; same-day standby slots fill within an hour of opening.

Local tips

Reserve online (free) one month in advance; mornings are calmer than afternoons. Adults are welcome but the space is built around children's reading rituals.
