JTA Approved
The approach to Sensoji, dating to the 17th century. Skip the generic souvenir stalls; the snack stalls are the reason to walk slowly. Ningyo-yaki, agemanju, and taiyaki are the signatures. Asakusa's regional dojo (weatherfish) is a separate stop at Komagata Dozeu, two blocks south. Most stalls close around 5pm.
