金城町石畳道
A 300m stone-paved lane from the Ryukyu era winding through Shuri's residential hills. Naha's most atmospheric walk.
This 16th-century limestone road was part of the royal road from Shuri Castle to southern Okinawa. The 300m surviving section descends through a quiet residential neighborhood with stone walls, ancient banyan trees (one is 200+ years old), and traditional red-tile roofed houses. It's the best-preserved piece of Ryukyu Kingdom infrastructure.
Start from Shuri Castle and walk downhill. The descent reveals the old Ryukyu atmosphere gradually. The giant banyan tree halfway down is 200+ years old.
