Nagahama Beach

長浜ビーチ
Quiet natural beach in northern Okinawa with calm turquoise water and few visitors, no resort crowds.
Nagahama Beach sits along the northern coastline of the Motobu Peninsula in Nakijin, an area that sees far fewer visitors than the resort stretch around Onna. The water is turquoise and genuinely clear, with a sandy bottom and calm conditions suitable for swimming and snorkeling without specialist gear. Coral patches close to shore hold parrotfish, butterflyfish, and other tropical species. Facilities are basic but present, and the beach itself is long enough that it never feels packed even on busy summer days. Nakijin Castle Ruins are a short drive away, making it easy to combine a morning of swimming here with an afternoon exploring one of Okinawa's most evocative historical sites.
