One of Jomo Sanzan (Three Famous Mountains of Gunma) at northern edge of Kanto Plain, alongside Mt Myogi and Mt Haruna.
Mt Akagi-yama, also known simply as Mt Akagi, is one of the "Jomo Sanzan" (Three Famous Mountains of Gunma), along with Mt Myogi and Mt Haruna. It is at the northern edge of the Kanto Plain, which means you can see it from most prefectures in the Kanto area (Saitama, Tokyo, Tochigi) quite easily.
