An ancient Buddhist temple complex anchored by an impressive five-story pagoda and a main hall dating to approximately 1300, making it one of Shikoku's oldest surviving wooden structures. The peaceful grounds invite contemplation among weathered stone paths and centuries-old trees. As a stop on the 88-temple pilgrimage, white-robed pilgrims add spiritual atmosphere to visits.
