4.0Est. 20Himeji, Kansai
JTA Approved
The current hall is a reconstruction following a 1987 fire. The site's gravity is outside, among the small stone Jizo figures. Their red, handmade bibs are offerings from grieving families, placed as prayers for the protection of children who died young. Observe the details, but remember their context.
Local tips
Remove shoes before entering any hall. Look for a shoe rack at the entrance. Carry a plastic bag for your shoes if none is provided.
