Overview
One of four most important shrines on Oki Islands, enshrining a sea-protecting deity among 150 island shrines.
There are very few Buddhist temples on the Oki Islands, but about 150 Shinto shrines, and of these , Mizuwakasau Shrine is one of the four most important , enshrining a deity that protects the sea around the islands.
Local tips
Purify your hands at the temizuya before approaching the main hall. Left hand first, then right, then pour water into your left hand to rinse your mouth.
