Mizuki Fortress Ruins

This 7th-century earthen defense is now a series of long mounds and moats dispersed across local parks. What remains of the 1.2-kilometer wall is best understood up close. For a sense of its original scale, find a nearby hilltop and look for the distinct tree line tracing its path.
