2010 reconstruction of the 1894 Josiah Conder-designed first Marunouchi office building; rotating European art exhibitions.
A 2010 reconstruction of the 1894 Josiah Conder-designed Mitsubishi Ichigokan, the first Western-style office building in Marunouchi. The reconstruction used the original Conder blueprints and is true to the brick masonry techniques of the period. The interior houses the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, with rotating exhibitions focused on late-19th-century European art (Toulouse-Lautrec, Vallotton, Whistler are recurring themes from the museum's permanent collection).
Closed Mondays and during exhibition changeovers (typically two weeks per change). The connected Cafe 1894 is the original 1894 banking hall and worth a stop without museum admission.
