Nagoya's tallest building at 247 meters, and its Sky Promenade observation deck on floors 44 through 46 is open-air rather than glass-enclosed, meaning the wind and temperature are part of the experience. On clear days the views stretch to Nagoya Castle, Nagoya Port, and the Japan Alps in the distance. The lower floors house luxury boutiques, and the upper restaurant floors offer panoramic dining. The building connects directly to Nagoya Station's underground network, so bad weather is not a deterrent. Evenings are the most rewarding time to visit, when the city lights spread to the horizon.
