Lee Ufan Museum
Overview
A second Tadao Ando concrete museum dedicated solely to Mono-ha pioneer Lee Ufan.
A small Tadao Ando museum carved into the hillside between Chichu and Benesse House, devoted entirely to the Mono-ha movement's leading voice, Korean-Japanese painter and sculptor Lee Ufan. Stone-and-steel installations sit in cell-like rooms and an outdoor courtyard, each placed to engage with the surrounding concrete and sky. A quieter visit than Chichu, often paired in the same morning.
Local tips
Pair with Chichu in a single museum-pass morning; the walk between the two takes ten minutes and follows the coastal road.
