オンネトー
Mysterious 'Five-Color Lake' in Akan-Mashu National Park.
Lake Onneto sits at the foot of Mt. Meakan in the westernmost part of Akan-Mashu National Park, and its water changes color throughout the day from pale blue through layered greens to deep blue depending on light and weather. A wooden observation deck on the western shore gives unobstructed views of the lake with Mt. Meakan and Mt. Akanfuji rising behind it. Four short walking trails start from the lake's edge, each passing different vegetation and wildlife. The nearby Onneto Campground is the main base for the serious hike up Mt. Meakan, open from June to October when the access road is clear. Swimming and water sports are not permitted, to protect the lake's ecology.
