Lake Hyōko

Designated a national natural treasure for its winter congregation of thousands of swans migrating from Siberia, Lake Hyoko transforms into a magical scene from October through March. The graceful birds can be observed from close quarters along the lakeshore, where visitors gather to watch their morning flights and feeding. Cherry blossoms ring the lake in spring, creating equally spectacular scenery.
