半月湖
Volcanic lake at the western foot of Mt. Yotei reached by a 3.1 kilometer loop trail from the Hangetsu-ko Camp Field trailhead.
Lake Hangetsu is a small caldera lake on the western flank of Mt. Yotei in Niseko Town, sitting in a forest of Japanese larch and birch. The 3.1 km loop trail from the Hangetsu Lake Camp Field trailhead reaches the lakeshore in 15 to 20 minutes, with the full loop taking about 55 minutes. The lake reflects the symmetrical cone of Yotei in calm weather. Trail accessible from June through October.
