Kuragaike Park is a vast park in Toyota with a range of family-friendly outdoor activities.
Kuragaike Park in Toyota spreads across forested hills with the central Kuragaike Pond at its center. Five bungalows in the park were designed by architect Kuma Kengo in collaboration with outdoor brand Snow Peak, and are available to rent for overnight stays. A Snow Peak store and restaurant also operate in the park. Other highlights include a free zoo, paddle boats, a restored Meitetsu train, children's play areas, and botanic gardens. The highway rest area above the park has a wheelchair-accessible observation deck with views of Mt. Sanage, Mt. Rokusho, Toyota Stadium, and on clear days, Nagoya. Adjacent to the park is Toyota Kuragaike Commemorative Hall, covering the early history of Toyota Motor Corporation.
