Kozanji Temple

Situated deep in the Takao mountains, Kozanji's mossy forest paths lead to ancient wooden halls. The primary experience is a cup of matcha on the Sekisui-in hall veranda, which overlooks the river valley. While famous for its historic scrolls and Japan's oldest tea field, the veranda view is the main draw.
