コンパル
A legendary 1947 kissaten serving Nagoya's iconic shrimp sandwich and morning set culture at its finest.
Konparu is a Nagoya institution, operating since 1947 and embodying the city's unique kissaten (traditional coffee shop) culture. Their signature ebi furai sandwich, a thick fried shrimp cutlet between toasted bread, is a Nagoya-meshi icon. Order the morning set before 11am for coffee, toast with ogura-an (sweet red bean paste), and a boiled egg. The smoky, retro interior hasn't changed in decades.
Go to the Osu or Meieki branch for shorter waits. Locals know to order the ebi furai sandwich with extra tartar sauce.
