Flagship of Japan's largest pre-owned luxury chain, eight floors of authenticated kimono, watches, and bags.
The flagship of Komehyō, Japan's largest secondhand luxury chain, occupying an eight-floor building two blocks from Osu Kannon. Each floor specializes (kimono on three, watches on five, leather goods on six), with in-house authenticators on staff and visible price comparisons against new prices. The kimono floor is unusual for visitors: silk furisode and obi from estates and dealers go for a fraction of the new prices, and staff can advise on era and provenance. The watch floor has the deepest secondhand Grand Seiko inventory in central Japan. Tax-free counter on the ground floor with passport.
Arrive before noon; the watch floor's best pieces sell same-day on weekends. Kimono fittings are by appointment only on weekends but walk-in midweek.
