Koishikawa Korakuen
小石川後楽園
4.4Est. 90Tokyo, Kanto
Set between the Tokyo Dome and office towers, the garden’s composed views feel remarkably separate. While it draws crowds for autumn maples, the plum blossoms in late February are the main event, with thinner crowds than at Rikugi-en. Paths circle a central pond with a replica Kyoto bridge.
Local tips
One of Tokyo's oldest gardens, usually empty compared to Rikugi-en. The plum blossoms in February are spectacular.
