トアロード
A European-flavored shopping street climbing from the port to Kitano with independent boutiques and bakeries.
Tor Road runs uphill from Kobe's waterfront toward the Kitano Ijinkan district, lined with independent fashion boutiques, antique shops, artisan bakeries, and cozy cafes. The street has a distinctly European character, a reflection of Kobe's history as an international port. The mix of old stone buildings and modern design shops makes for an atmospheric stroll with far fewer tourists than Motomachi or Sannomiya.
Stop at Freundlieb bakery in a converted church for fresh German bread and pastries. The stained glass windows make even a coffee break feel special.
