Kitanomaru Park
park
北の丸公園
Overlooked Imperial Palace-adjacent forest with cherry blossoms and koi ponds, crowd-free.
Directly adjacent to the Imperial Palace moat yet overlooked by most visitors fixated on the East Gardens, Kitanomaru Park offers dense forest canopy, koi-filled ponds, and some of Tokyo's finest cherry blossoms without the reservation system or crowds. The park contains the Nippon Budokan concert hall and the Science Museum, but its real draw is the atmospheric walking paths through old-growth trees that feel impossibly remote for central Chiyoda.
