Kitaguchihongu
shrine
北口本宮冨士浅間神社
Deeply forested northern gateway shrine to Mount Fuji flanked by towering ancient cedars.
An atmospheric, densely forested shrine serving as the traditional northern gateway for ascending Mount Fuji. The long, lantern-lined approach is shadowed by massive ancient cedar trees. It exudes a mystical, timeless energy essential to the mountain's faith.
Walk to the back right of the main hall to see the official, historical starting gate for the Yoshida Trail up the mountain.
