Kirin's Yokohama factory offers free 80-minute guided tours through the full brewing process, from raw ingredients and copper kettles to fermentation tanks and packaging lines. The company traces its roots to the Japan Brewery Company founded here in 1885 by foreign merchants, and guides walk you through that history with clear, engaging commentary. The highlight is the tasting session at the end: freshly brewed Kirin Ichiban Shibori and seasonal varieties poured in a taproom with views across Yokohama Bay.
