Wild park at the center of Miura Peninsula, largely untamed nature ideal for blossom viewing and hiking.
Kinugasayama Park occupies a wooded hilltop in the center of the Miura Peninsula in Yokosuka, offering a welcome retreat into nature without leaving the city. The park is best known as one of the top cherry blossom viewing spots in Kanagawa, with roughly 2,000 somei-yoshino trees turning the hillside pink in late March and early April. Walking trails wind through the largely untamed forest, where you can spot wildflowers and migratory birds throughout the year. The summit provides sweeping views across Yokosuka and out toward Tokyo Bay, and the park connects to nearby Tsukayama Park for an extended half-day hike.
