城崎温泉 地蔵湯
Public bathhouse featuring high ceilings and unique hexagonal 'volcanic stone' windows.
Jizo-yu is recognizable by its modern lantern-shaped architecture and large hexagonal windows designed to mimic the basaltic rock formations of the nearby Genbudo Caves. This bathhouse is named after the Jizo deity, a protector of travelers and children, and is particularly popular among local families for its spacious indoor bathing area. The facility feels bright and airy due to the high ceilings and modern design. It is located very close to the station, making it a convenient first or last stop for those arriving in Kinosaki. Tattoos are fully accepted here, as they are in all of the town's public bathing facilities.
Wash thoroughly at the shower stations before entering the bath. This is non-negotiable etiquette. Bring a small towel but keep it out of the water.
