Overview

The Wind Garden (Kaze no Gaaden) is part of the extensive Prince Grand Resort Furano complex.

Wind Garden in Furano was created in 2008 by garden designer Ueno Sayuki as the primary filming location for a popular television drama. The long entrance path follows an old golf course fairway, and the house, flowering arches, and open lawns used in the production remain in place. Two former students of the drama school founded on-site now serve as head gardeners, cultivating 450 varieties of flowers including tulips, lupines, and roses. Two rose varieties bred here are named after characters from the show. The garden is open daily from late April to mid-October as part of the Prince Grand Resort Furano complex, which also has hot-air balloon tours and a terrace market area.
