Showa-era kissaten on the Yanaka-Ueno border, opened 1938 in a 1916 wooden building, revived 2009.
A Showa-era kissaten on the Yanaka-Ueno border, opened in 1938 inside a 1916 wooden corner building. The cafe was an active neighborhood hangout for decades before closing briefly in 2006; the Taito City government and a young operator team brought it back in 2009. The egg sandwich and the morning toast set remain the signature orders.
Lines form on weekends after 11 AM. Weekday mornings are quietest. The second floor has tatami seating with low tables.
