Ranked among Japan's three great Inari shrines alongside Fushimi Inari, Kasama Inari draws three million visitors annually yet remains largely unknown to international travelers. Founded in 651 during the Asuka Period, the shrine features elaborate wood carvings of chrysanthemums on its main hall. The surrounding Kasama pottery district offers kiln visits and hands-on ceramics workshops.
