Castle town hot spring where visitors can tour public ashiyu foot baths scattered throughout samurai residence streets.

One of the three great hot spring resorts of the historic Ou region, with over 550 years of history. The castle town features public foot baths, traditional ryokan, and the restored Kaminoyama Castle.

Local tips

Wash thoroughly at the shower stations before entering the bath. This is non-negotiable etiquette. Bring a small towel but keep it out of the water.
