神の浜ルート
A trek to the western part of Zamami Island that takes in a local landmark and a gorgeous beach before climaxing in cliff-top views over the Keramas.
This 6-kilometer round-trip walk on Zamami Island in the Kerama Islands travels from the harbor to the cliff-top viewpoint at the western tip. Along the way, the route passes a statue of Marilyn, a Zamami-born dog whose story inspired a 1980s Japanese film, and Ama Beach, a shallow cove popular with sea turtles and best visited at high tide. The final stretch turns inland through rural terrain before opening onto sweeping views of Tokashiki, Amuro, Yakabi, and other Kerama islands. The walk takes around 80 minutes and is suitable for most fitness levels.
