Kamagami-jinja

Kamagami Shrine in Seto, Aichi, is directly connected to the city's identity as a ceramics center, dedicated to the deity of kilns and associated with the craft families who have worked in this valley for centuries. The shrine hosts ceramic-related festivals through the year, including a major event where artisans bring work as offerings. The grounds are quiet outside of festival dates, with a small garden and a collection of donated pottery pieces near the main hall. It is a good stop when visiting Seto's workshops and the Seto Ware Museum nearby.
