Overview
Free public foot bath, hand bath, and steam vent at one of Jozankei's original 1866 spring sources in the village center.
Jozan Gensen Park is built around one of the original spring vents the monk Miizumi Jozan opened in 1866. The free foot bath holds about ten people and runs continuously at 38 to 40 degrees; an adjacent hand bath and a small steam vent let visitors test the unfiltered source. A bronze statue of Jozan stands at the back of the park. Open year-round; bring your own towel.
