伊東屋(銀座本店)
1904 founding stationery destination; 12 floors of paper, pens, leather, and a rooftop hydroponic farm cafe.
A stationery shop founded 1904 by Katsutaro Ito, now occupying a 12-floor flagship building reopened 2015. Each floor has a single category (letter paper, fountain pens, leather, gift wrap, cards), enabling a vertical browsing rhythm that has made the building a Tokyo design destination. The 12th floor holds a hydroponic vegetable farm whose produce is served in the 11th-floor Cafe Stylo. The 9th-floor letterpress workshop produces custom business cards on request.
Cafe Stylo (11F) reservations recommended for weekends; the salad lunch uses produce harvested upstairs that morning. Custom letterpress orders take two weeks.
