生きものたちでにぎわう島々
Starting with its diverse coral reef ecosystem, the Keramas have a very special subtropical natural environment where all sorts of creatures congregate.
The Kerama Islands, about an hour by high-speed ferry from Naha, sit within a protected national park where the reef system remains largely intact. Sea turtles nest on several of the beaches and are frequently spotted in the water year-round. Spinner dolphins pass through the bay between Zamami and Aka Islands most mornings. Visibility underwater regularly exceeds 30 meters, making this one of the most accessible and rewarding spots for snorkeling and diving in all of Japan without a long journey or boat charter.
