因幡千本桜
Thousands gather annually to picnic under cherry trees and admire blossoms in this beloved hanami destination.
Hundreds of cherry trees line the banks of the Fukuroyama River in Tottori, forming a long tunnel of blossoms each spring from late March through mid-April. Families and community groups spread picnic tarps beneath the trees while petals drift down around them. Evening illuminations extend the experience after dark, when the blossoms glow pink and their reflections shimmer on the water. Food stalls set up during peak bloom, and the flat, accessible riverside path works for visitors of all ages and mobility levels.
