Legendary birthplace of the first King of the Second Sho Dynasty.
The northernmost island of Okinawa prefecture. It is the birthplace of King Sho En. Visitors can see his tomb and the Kumaya Cave, which is linked to the Sun Goddess myth. The island remains very rural and authentic.
