Ichibancho/Jozenji-dori
Overview
Ichibancho is Sendai's central covered arcade shopping street, running perpendicular to the zelkova-lined Jozenji-dori boulevard. The Jozenji trees form a green tunnel in summer and host the Pageant of Starlight illumination in December. Restaurants and jazz bars concentrate along the side streets.
