Hiwasa Chelonian Museum Caretta

Directly across from Ohama Beach where loggerhead turtles nest each summer, this specialist museum tracks Tokushima's decades-long conservation program with live turtle tanks, nesting data, and a breeding pool. Exhibits explain the turtles' 10,000-kilometer Pacific migration and the community's tradition of guarding nests since the Edo period. Nighttime nest observation tours run from June to August.
