Hiroshima's best food souvenirs lean on local ingredients: yuzu citrus from the region makes a popular butter cake; hassaku, a tangy citrus first discovered near a Hiroshima temple, fills puffy hassaku daifuku rice cakes; and momiji manju, maple-leaf-shaped cakes with bean paste filling, originate from Miyajima Island. Yume Plaza in the Hondori shopping district stocks a broad range of locally produced goods under one roof.
