ヒラフ村
The largest of Niseko's four resort villages, a year-round dining and après-ski base at the foot of Grand Hirafu with the area's densest concentration of restaurants and bars.
Hirafu Village is the international resort hub at the base of Niseko Grand Hirafu in Kutchan-cho. The village concentrates the area's restaurants, sports rental shops, izakaya, and après-ski bars; the main pedestrian street runs uphill from the gondola base through three named neighborhoods (Lower, Middle, and Upper Hirafu). International signage and English menus reflect the area's transformation since the early-2000s investment wave from Australia and Hong Kong. JR Kutchan Station is 15 minutes by taxi or shuttle.
Middle Hirafu has the densest restaurant cluster; Upper Hirafu has the boutique luxury hotels. The free Hirafu shuttle loops both, every 20 minutes in winter.
