Overview
Hillside viewpoint where 3,000 flowering peach trees create cascading pink displays each April in Ehime's highlands.
Every spring, the hillsides of Kumakogen town erupt in pink and white as thousands of peach trees come into bloom across Hanamomo no Sato, a highland orchard area at around 800 meters elevation. Walking trails wind through the flowering trees, and the elevated position gives sweeping views across the surrounding mountains. The bloom typically peaks in early April, a week or two later than valley blossoms. Outside of spring the trails stay open for quiet country walks through pastoral farmland.
