鉢山・横手山登山コース[登山道]
The Hachiyama-Yototeyama Tozan Course is an intermediate mountain trail that starts at the Suzurikawa bus stop, where a ski lift takes hikers up to the trailhead.
This intermediate mountain trail begins at Suzurikawa bus stop, where a ski lift carries hikers to the trailhead. The route covers 6.5 kilometers and around 625 meters of elevation gain, climbing to Mt. Hachi at 2,041 meters and then following the ridgeline to Mt. Yokote at 2,307 meters. Shibu Pond along the way has floating islands of vegetation, their roots trapping gas that keeps them buoyed, fringed with round-leaved sundew that turns completely red in autumn. The Forty-Eight Pond Wetlands appear further along before the route reaches the ski slopes of Yokote, where fireweed and Nikkō daylilies cover the rolling summer grass.
