Tropical Beach

Tropical Beach in Ginowan is a public beach within easy reach of Naha, used primarily by local residents for weekend swimming and casual outdoor time. The sandy area is divided into sectioned swimming lanes during the main season, and lifeguards are on duty from June through September. Restrooms, outdoor showers, and covered picnic benches are available near the beach entrance. The surroundings are urban rather than resort-like, with the Ginowan Convention Center visible nearby, but the water is clean and the reef offshore is accessible to snorkelers who venture past the roped sections. Sunset views looking west across the East China Sea are the beach's best feature.
