Coastal waterfall that freezes into spectacular ice columns in winter along the Erimo coast.
Funbe Falls drop directly into the Pacific Ocean near Erimo, a coastal waterfall fed by underground springs rather than a river above. In summer the contrast between the white water and the dark rocky shore is sharp and photogenic. In winter, the falling water freezes into large ice columns that build outward from the cliff face, forming natural formations that change shape week by week. The surrounding Erimo coastline is rugged and largely undeveloped, and the falls are a short walk from the parking area along a coastal trail.
