Fujino Yamanami Onsen is a hot-spring resort in the lush forests of the Fujino area, near Lake Sagami, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Set on a forested hill near Lake Sagami in the Fujino area of Kanagawa, this hot spring facility has been running since 1997. The water comes directly from the source and is kept around 40 degrees. Baths include indoor options with jets, open-air rotenburo with views over the surrounding mountains, and a sauna. In winter, a yuzu citrus bath is added, using the fruit grown locally in Fujino. The on-site restaurant serves ramen, soba, pork cutlet curry, and ginger pork. From JR Fujino Station, take a local bus to Yamanami Onsen Iriguchi, about 15 minutes, then walk two minutes to the entrance.
Wash thoroughly at the shower stations before entering the bath. This is non-negotiable etiquette. Bring a small towel but keep it out of the water.
