Fuji Antarctic Museum Ship

南極観測船ふじ
Explore the retired icebreaker ship that served 18 Antarctic expeditions, preserved exactly as it sailed.
The Fuji served as Japan's Antarctic research vessel from 1965 to 1983, completing 18 expeditions through some of the world's harshest waters. Now permanently docked at Nagoya Port, the entire ship is open for exploration, from the bridge and crew quarters to the engine room and helicopter deck. Life-size mannequins recreate daily life aboard, and the ship sits alongside the Nagoya Port Aquarium complex.
Climb to the helicopter deck for one of the best free panoramic views of Nagoya Port and the bay. Most visitors skip it.
