Overview
An island-wide illumination featuring a lighthouse and tropical gardens.
The 'Jewel of Shonan' is a massive winter illumination centered around the Enoshima Sea Candle (lighthouse). The display features millions of crystals and LEDs that cover the Samuel Cocking Garden and the lighthouse itself. The 'Tunnel of Light,' decorated with Swarovski crystals, is a primary attraction. Because the island is on the coast, the lights reflect off the ocean, and on clear winter evenings, the sunset behind Mt. Fuji provides a spectacular backdrop before the lights turn on. The entire island, including its shrines and caves, participates in the festive lighting.
