Sunset-framing sea arch aligns with the equinox sun, Kansai's top sunset viewpoint.
A small uninhabited islet 130 meters long features a nine-meter circular hole eroded through its center, framing the sunset in a natural stone ring during the spring and autumn equinoxes when the sun aligns perfectly. Known as "Full Moon Island" for the hole's shape, it has become Kansai's foremost sunset-viewing spot. The best vantage point is from Rinkai Park on the nearby shore.
